You're probably going to think I'm full of crap but one of my first playthroughs of Pokemon back in the day, I had a Magikarp and the first time I ever used the move, it was against a fire Pokemon. I watched the whole thing hoping to find a particular video on this iceberg, but since it's not I may as well list it: my personal favourite is "Today is the Day" posted by Charlatantric. It's not the most obscure video ever since it got recommended to EVERYONE three years ago or so and I'm pretty sure it's an art project but it's a fascinating watch.

1:04:20 My Pokémon turned into Bad EGG's on my Pokémon Pearl cartridge. It happened to three of my Pokémon: Yanmega, Leafeon and Glaceon. I later traded all my Pokémon to my Diamond cartridge because i thought my Pearl verison was broken somehow and that caused the bad eggs. Later on my Diamond cartridge the same thing happened and for only those three Pokémon again. Interestingly some Pokémon that were in the same PC box as the bad eggs turned into bad eggs too and some even dissapeared completely. It's interesting how the glitch spread and only happenned to spesific Pokémon in a spesific PC box. I don't know how it happened on both of my cartridges though... Might be an issue with the DS hardware i don't know but very interesting either way and i couldn't find anything about this online either
